Sapa Tour with Homestay – 3D2N (Daily Departure)
A former French hill station, located in the middle of the break taking landscapes in the north of Vietnam, Sapa is one of the most wonderful places in Asia and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air. There are excellent areas for hiking through lush mountain valleys to the remote villages of different minorities, including the Black H”mong and the Red Dzao ….
Day 1: HANOI – LAO CAI (ON TRAIN)
Gather at Hanoi railway station, take night train for Sapa. Overnight on train.
Day 2: LAO CAI – SAPA – TA VAN (B, L, D)
Our friendly driver welcome you at Lao Cai station to driven up on curvy road up hill to Sapa. Then take a walk to Lao Chai. After following the road for approx. 1,5 km we start ascending into the mountains. We trek to Y LINH HO village, where we are able to see how the Black Hmong people color their fabric. We pass through Y LINH HO and head for LAO CHAI village, where the guide will prepare a delicious lunch in a local house. After lunch, it is possible to visit the Catholic Church and experience the daily life of the Black Hmong minority in the village.
After exploring the Black Hmong village we continue towards the SaPa Valley and the Zay village of Tavan. From LAO CHAI to TA VAN we have 2 hours walk, but mostly downhill. After spending the morning on the mountain above the SaPa Valley, we are now in the middle of it. The rice paddies in this area are amazing.
In Tavan we stay overnight in a local house, where we also enjoy our dinner.
Day 3: TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI VILLAGE – HANOI (B, L, D)
Today we have 4 hours walking before we reach SaPa. After enjoying our breakfast we hit the trail and after 2 hour we reach the village of GIANG TA CHAI, which is inhabited by the red Dzao minority.
We are still in the SaPa Valley, the surroundings are fantastic, and we are in the middle of it all.
We find a local house, in where we have lunch, and enjoy the views and the atmosphere while our cook is preparing the lunch. Then we walk up to the main road to get pick up back to SaPa by Russian Jeep.
Transfer to Lao Cai station for Hanoi.
Day 4: HANOI ARRIVAL
Arrive Hanoi in early morning.
