Hue Citadel is the most remarkable mark of the great landscape and architectural site of this Vietnamese city. Situated on the Northern bank of the Perfume River, the citadel is broadly a system of three circles of ramparts namely Kinh Thanh (Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel). The royal complex of Hue has been officially recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE HUE (D)
Our guide will meet you at Phu Bai airport on arrival, transfer to hotel. Hue – Straddling the Perfume River, this mysterious, somber city is a historian’s dream come true, with numerous 19th century ruins, royal tombs and an excellent museum. The Imperial City of Hue was the capital of Vietnam during the reign of the Nguyen dynasty, the last dynasty in Vietnam. Overnight in Hue.
DAY 2: HUE CITADEL DAY TOUR (B, L, D)
After breakfast, take a boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious site to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Tu Duc temple. Afternoon, continue to visit Hue citadel with Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, Forbidden Purple City (Tu Cam Thanh). Overnight in Hue.
DAY 3: HUE – SEE OFF (B)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Hue airport for your flight.
